A New Apex for 4 Guys
4 Guys interactive recently sponsored WERA Pro motorcycle roadracer Jimmy Wyble and Team GP Extreme in their effort to get to the AMA 250cc roadracing championship. CEO Dave Nienberg and other employees were invited out to a day at Texas World Speedway for racing and a chance to meet our new partners.
Although temperatures in the paddock reached 115 degrees, it was an experience none of us will ever forget. Formula 1 and 2 bikes, superbikes and vintage bikes could all be found in the pits. 150 riders made up 16 grids for a full 5 hours of racing action Sunday afternoon. Take it from 4 Guys, television does nothing for this sport, seeing a superbike scream down the straightaway at 160+ MPH and bail off into a 100-120 MPH turn is quite impressive even to the most extreme individuals. "It was a great day. The track had been troublesome for the last 5 years. It was rewarding to take home an expert win for myself and 4Guys. You always want to well when your sponsors are at the track. I look forward to a long term relationship with 4 Guys," says rider Jimmy Wyble after his big win. Jimmy has been racing for 5 years in the Western Eastern Roadracing Association and The Central Motorcycle roadracing clubs. Although the 2000 season has been quiet for Jimmy due to mechanical failures, he was able to put together a win for his sponsors. He won by over 20 seconds over his opponents, lapping several riders in the field. You can always find the adventures of Team Gp Extreme and Jimmy at www.gpextreme.com and here for future events.
