The RPM/WERA National Challenge Series season kicked off with a roar for the 4 Guys Interactive/GP Extreme racing team at the Texas National Speedway outside College Station, Texas the weekend of March 30th to April 1st.

The excitement of the 4 Guys/GP Extreme high finishes in the 600 cc and lightweight and heavyweight twins, was only slightly dampened by the disappointment of equipment failure keeping them out of the Formula 2 races.

4 Guys/GP Extreme team member Dustin Moore tore up the track, finishing 7th in the 600 cc race, 2nd in heavyweight twins, and 1st in the lightweight twins. Team member Jimmy Wyble was unable to start in Sunday's Formula 2 races, after his bike had motor problems during Saturday's practice runs.

Track conditions were superb after a rainy Friday and a cool Saturday. Sunday's mild temperature, light wind, dry track and large enthusiastic crowd all came together to make for ideal conditions at Texas National.

4 Guys Staff Goes to the Races
It was also a team building race day for the 4 Guys Interactive staff at Texas National, as about half the staff and their families turned out for the Sunday races and to support the racers. Everyone had lunch and watched from the paddock as bikes roared by at speeds reaching 160 miles per hour.

"What a day," said Dave Nienberg, 4 Guys Interactive President. "You can feel the power of these bikes. They're a blur sometimes, they're moving so fast. The combination of noise, speed and heat is a rush and something you have to experience to believe. Being in the pits gives you a true understanding of what super bike racing is all about."
